About this trip
Mount Bromo, in Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, is one of the most iconic sights in East Java. This package is made for travelers who want to watch the dawn colours from Penanjakan without the hassle of arranging transport and accommodation.
After the sunrise, a convoy of jeeps takes you down to the sea of sand, across the greening Teletubbies Savanna, and on to the foot of Bromo. From the temple parking area you walk about 20 minutes and climb 250 steps to the crater rim, where sulphur steam rises.
The trip ends with a stop at Whispering Sands, a rippling stretch of sand that is a favourite photo spot. An experienced local guide stays with you throughout and helps time the visit to avoid the crowds.

In the early hours, temperatures can be 3-8 degrees Celsius. Bring a thick jacket, gloves, a beanie, and a mask.
Yes, ages 7 and up with a parent or guardian, because the crater trail is quite steep.
If the crater is closed by the TNBTS authorities, the itinerary is replaced with other viewpoints without reducing the trip duration.
Horse rental is available on site for about Rp150,000 and is not included in the package.
