About this trip
Yogyakarta blends temple heritage, royal palaces, and student life. This package starts with sunrise at Punthuk Setumbu, which faces Borobudur Temple wrapped in mist.
Then you climb Borobudur Temple, the world's largest Buddhist stupa from the 8th century, and walk along reliefs that tell the story of the Buddha's life. In the afternoon, Prambanan Temple shows magnificent Hindu architecture.
On the last day you ride a jeep along the slopes of Merapi on the Lava Tour: Sisa Hartaku Mini Museum, Kaliadem Bunker, and Kali Kuning. In the evening, enjoy gudeg and wedang ronde on Malioboro.
