About this trip
The Karimunjawa archipelago in the Java Sea is made up of 27 islands, most of them within a national park. The waters are clear, with healthy coral reefs and protected hawksbill turtles.
Over three days you take a fast boat from Jepara and explore islands such as Menjangan Kecil, Cemara Kecil, and Tanjung Gelam. Snorkelling sessions at the best spots come with full equipment and a guide.
One unique experience is swimming near docile reef sharks at the breeding pen on Menjangan Besar Island and watching the sunset from a wooden jetty. The evening ends with a grilled seafood dinner.
